Abstract |
Enhanced giant magneto impedance (GMI) effect was observed in amorphous ribbon via deposition of Magnetic Graphene-Iron Oxide Nanocomposite (MGr-IONC). MGr-IONC was synthesized by electrodeposition method that is single-step and low-cost. MGr-IONC was coated on the surface of Co-based amorphous ribbons by applying a direct current while the ribbon was floated in MGr-IONC solution. The GMI ratio increased from 240% for bare ribbon up to about 280% for deposited samples. Similar experiment for the ribbon drop coated with MGr-IONC was carried out but no GMI enhancement was observed. The result provides a potential for designing high sensitive graphene-based GMI sensor that can be functionalized and applied in various discipline e.g. medical, industrial, or seismology. |
