Influence of Ag/Cu and Ca/Y Substitution on Electrical and Structural effect of High temperature Superconductor Y3Ba5Cu8O18

Abstract:
The high temperature superconductor Y3Ba5Cu8-xAgxO18-𝛿 with x= 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and Y3-xCax Ba5Cu8 O18-𝛿 with x= 0.0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 were synthesized through the sol-gel technique by making Nano oxide Y, Ba, Cu and Ag and Ca. The analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern was approved that the substitution of the Ag ions is in the Cu-O plane of symmetric phase and Ca ions is in the Y site. The electrical resistivity graph was approved the start of transition temperature above 100 K for both samples. By SEM Nano-sized images, determine the quality of the samples and investigate grains size depend on amount of Ag and Ca nanoparticles. The best result for strong superconductivity observed for Y3Ba5Cu7.7Ag0.3O18-𝛿 and Y2.9Ca0.2 Ba5Cu8O18-𝛿.
