Abstract:
The effect of the presence of nanoclay in polyethylene matrix on mechanism of peeling and chain mobility was investigated. The X‐ray diffraction (XRD) test was investigated to check the dispersion of nanoclay in matrix. The thermal properties of samples were investigated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The peel test results show that addition of 3 percent nano clay decreases peel force remarkably. The Rheometric Mechanical Spectrometer (RMS) results show that presence of nanoclay decrease chain mobility. The effect of decrease of chain mobility that resulted from presence of nonoclay on peel force is less than the effect of changing the mechanism of peel mechanism on its. And the main reason for decrease peel force in presence of nanoclay is changing the mechanism of peeling.
