Abstract:
Bi2O3 Nanoparticles produced with electrical arc discharge method were encapsulated in SiO2 shells through Stöber process. TEM images of the samples indicate SiO2 Nanoparticle were grown with 20 to 100 nm size. Photoluminescence of Bi2O3@SiO2 samples show PL strength enhancement of Bi2O3 nanoparticles and SiO2 nanostructure emission peaks at 410 and 426 nm wavelengths.
