Abstract |
Hyaluronic acid (HA) and Chitosan as two biocompatible polymer with polyanionic and polycationic nature respectively have many applications in biomedical and drug delivery. Comb rooster is a commercial source for HA. In this study, HA was extracted from comb rooster using solvents. Its molecular weight was determined by GPC and viscometric methods. Cytotoxicity assay Results showed extracted HA with Mw= 250 KDa was not toxic to living cells. Electrospinning of HA/Chitosan solutions with various ratio led to produce nanofiber with 256nm to 463nm diameter. |
