Abstract:
The recording of electrophysiological activities of neurons has been one of the most effective means in neuroscience development. One of the applied techniques in recording of the activity of nerve cells is the multi-electrode array (MEA) system. In this study, a system for recording electrical activity of neural system based on novel MEA structure has been designed and developed. Based on the vital role of the interface between cell and electronic circuit, the structure of the multi-electrode array has been optimized and fabricated. The acquisition and recording of signals are performed through the designed electronic system (including variable gain low noise amplifier, low noise differential amplifier and high precision ADC/DAC). The results of recording the neural signal with the novel fabricated MEA structure and recording systems show the satisfactory performance of the system.
