Abstract:
A carbon paste electrode (CPE) chemically modified was established based on graphene oxide CoFe2O4/NPs-ionic liquid (IL) (1-Ethyl-3-Methylimidazolium) as a sensor for determination of Cefixime by voltammetric methods such as cyclic, differential pulse and square wave voltammetry (CV, DPV, and SWV), and Chronoamperometry (CHA). Under the selected conditions, the optimal experimental parameters were as follows: At pH7.0, peak current showed a linear dependence with the drug concentration in the range from 50-900 μmol l_1 for DPV. High sensitivity and selectivity, low detection limit, good reproducibility, easy preparation and regeneration of the electrode make it very suitable for the determination of Cefixime in real samples. These fully validated sensitive and reproducible procedures has been successfully applied for the assay of Cefixime in the bulk Drug in pharmaceutical formulations and in human urine.
