Abstract |
Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles (NPs) and MoS2-CdS Nanohanks were synthesized by a hydrothermal approach in water media. Molybdenum chloride (MoCl5), Thiuorea, Cadmium acetate Cd(Ac)2 were used as precursors and Ethylene glycol as reducing. Prepared nanocrstals were characterized means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field effect Scanning Electron microscopy (FESEM), and Impedance spectroscopy. XRD patterns indicated peaks correspond to the hexagonal phase of MoS2 and for MoS2-CdS also the CdS peaks observed clearly in addition to the MoS2 peaks and there is no phase deformation. XRD pattern confirmed formation of a hybrid structure. FESEM images indicated nanoparticles morphology for MoS2 which it was converted to the nanohanks after CdS growth. Impedance and Nyquist spectroscopy and the corresponding simulation of samples with the equivalent circuit indicated significantly decreasing the resistance of the MoS2-CdS sample comparing to the MoS2 sample. Decrease of the resistance of the MoS2-CdS sample comparing MoS2 made it as more proper material for supercapacitor application |
