Abstract:
Investigation of addition of Y Zeolite nanoparticles to polymeric solution that was used in electrospinning process and effect of ultrasonic time-domain on morphology and properties of PES nanofibers are the purposes of this study. To fabricate the nanofibers, polymer solution with a concentration of 24wt% was selected. The conditions of electrospinning procedure in this investigation include potential difference 13kV, feed rate 1 ml/h and distance 20 cm. It is investigated the effect of the amount of nanoparticles at 0, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 wt% concentrations relative to the weight of PES in polymer solution on the structure of nanofibers. The prepared polymeric solution put into an ultrasonic bath for 5 and 10 hr. All of the fibers spun in the same electrospinning conditions. The made nanofibers are characterized by SEM and contact angle test. The results showed that by increasing the amount of Zeolite nanoparticles in the polymer solution, hydrophobicity of fibers increased slightly and also the presence of nanoparticles in the polymer solution, increased the fiber diameter and made their sure face area irregular that the sonication time was also effective and increased it.
