Abstract:
Abstract: The nonlinear optical properties of acid fuchsin dye at different concentrations in the presence and absence of Gold nanorods (GNRs), are investigated. Structure of GNRs by Transverse Electron Microscope, are characterized. The nonlinear absorption coefficient and the refractive index of dye at different concentrations with and without GN Rs, are measured. Also, structure of GNRs by Transverse Electron Microscope, is characterized. Enhancement of the nonlinear parameters of dye solution and dye-gold nanorods mixture is reported with an increase in dye concentration. The results show that nonlinear absorption behaviour which could be probably due to either two photon absorption or excited state absorption and the values of the nonlinear parameters of AF dye with and without GNRs are increased, by the increasing the dye concentration. Also, the sign of the nonlinear absorption coefficient is negative. The results show saturable absorption behaviour which could be probably due to either two photon absorption or excited state absorption.
