Abstract:
The combination of TiO2 nano particles photocatalyst on modified polymers is a planned method to achieve new wastewater treatment. This composite photocatalyst takings the benefits of, the elasticity of polymer, the immobilization of nano photocatalyst, the attendance of nanoparticles photocatalyst, the floating of composite , stability and respectable recyclability of photocatalysts. In this report the chemical modification of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) -alginate, that increased resistant, stability, decrease dencity and floating in wastewater. A modification PVA-Alg / TiO2 composite photocatalyst with improved photocatalytic activity was combined and utilized for degradation of ammonia from wastewater under UV and visible light radiation. The results indicated that the use PVA-Alg / TiO2 of could be active to degradation of ammonia good efficiency also its stable and respectable recyclability of photocatalysts is very desirable. Therefore, these results exhibit that the PVA-Alg / TiO2 composite is a talented applicant for photocatalytic and wastewater treatment. The prepared photocatalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD).
