Abstract:
The aim of this study was to prepare lead ferrite (PbFe12O19) nanoparticles using hydrothermal microwave irradiated method. This method is synthesized by dissolving and precipitating the nanoparticles by dissolving and precipitating Lead and iron ions. In this study a certain amount of lead acetate and iron nitrate mixed together and the ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized using sodium hydroxide solution. The surface morphology of the lead ferrite nanoparticles was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The scanning electron microscopy of lead ferrite nanoparticles indicated these particles have average size about 50 nm. The structure of lead ferrite nanoparticles investigated using X-rad diffraction (XRD). The strain of nanoparticle lattice and crystallite size of this particles calculated by Debye-Scherrerand Williamson-Hall methods. The crystallite size and lattice strain are obtained using Williamson-Hall equations by expresses line fitted of cosθ as a function of 4sinθ. The average crystallite size calculated by Debye-Scherrerand equations was a good estimate by SEM image results.
